Map from 1610

We have been able to scan a 1610 map, but its original source must remain a secret.

The map shows the village name as Riston, we don't know when it was changed to Ruishton, so if you have any information, let us know.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A lot has changed in the last 100 years, but many of the old houses still exist today, although nearly all will now have central heating, an inside loo and running water from a tap.
